Preemptive Retaliation

It’s been a hot minute. Aside from the briefest of updates it’s been radio silence around these parts. I have some excuses for that, most of them related to anxiety, but there’s no reason to detail them out here.

At the end of last year I finished the second and, mostly, completed draft of my latest n novel, Sausage Factory. Or, more accurately, Sausage Factory: a novelisation of the hit feature film by Miles Hutchinson. It is pleasingly wanky, though the very first piece of feedback I received on it was to change the title.

I’ve given it to five friends. One has a small child and no time to read, one had a baby whilst reading it, and another is going through a rough time, so fiction isn’t on his mind. Two people have read it though. And they don’t hate it.

We’ll see where this goes.
